In this guide we will install the TankSync app, create your cloud account, and sign in for the first time.

The cloud dashboard is optional. Your hub shows every tank on its own screen and sounds its own alerts without an account, an app, or an internet connection. Set this up only if you want to check your tanks from outside the house.

Installing the App

TankSync is a Progressive Web App, so there is nothing to download from the App Store or Google Play. You install it directly from your browser.

Open your preferred browser and visit tanksync.smartghar.org.

On iPhone or iPad

  • Open the website in Safari.
  • Tap the Share button.
  • Scroll down and select Add to Home Screen.
  • Confirm the name, then tap Add.

TankSync will now appear on your Home Screen and launch just like any other app. Open it from that icon: on iPhone, push alerts only work when TankSync is opened from the Home Screen.

On Android

  • Open the website in Google Chrome.
  • A banner may appear asking if you'd like to install the app. If it doesn't, open the browser menu and select Install App or Add to Home Screen.
  • Once installed, open TankSync from your Home Screen.

Creating Your Account

On the sign-in screen, select Don't have an account? Create one. Then enter your:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Password (at least 10 characters)

Select Create account. A one-time verification code will be sent to your email. Enter that code and select Verify email to activate your account. If the code doesn't arrive, check your spam folder.

Signing In

Next time, open TankSync, enter your registered email address and password, and select Sign in.

You'll now see the TankSync dashboard. Since this is a new account, it will say No Hub set up yet until you connect your first hub.

Your TankSync account is now ready. Next up: connecting your hub to your account so you can check your tanks from anywhere.
